Did you know, if every year, Kochi prefecture always holds a summer dance festival or called Yosakoi Matsuri.
This summer dance festival is a dance characterized by active and rhythmic movements. The Yosakoi dance has been performed since 1954 until now. This dance will be accompanied by music and melodious sounds from wood tools or Naruko. Long ago, Naruko itself was a wood to chase away birds in the rice fields and is now a complement to the Yosakoi dance.
It should be noted, although later will be played various genres of music, still must include the Yosakoi Naruto Odori melody. The Yosakoi dance festival will be held from August 9 to 12 or last for 4 days. The highlight of the event will take place on the 10th and 11th of the evening. You will see a lively fireworks party !.
